Yes the water is very clear during April and May. Currents are not too strong before wet season. I have gone snorkeling during April 2010 and May 2012. Max went with me snorkeling, I always use the buddy system. Off the beach near the light house the snorkeling was really good.
I miss its crystal clear waters. but i didn’t quite enjoy swimming when we were there the last time , current was too strong
