We returned to the hotel between 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Nanay was resting in the room, she did not make the climb with us but at the age of 70 I was not expecting her to come along. She was enjoying the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel and the view of the lake. After cleaning up and taking a break ourselves, we drove out to Peoples Park.
The park is about 15 to 20 minute drive from The Theodore Hotel. When you arrive at the park there are two levels; the parking area that includes many vendors selling souvenirs/fruit and the upper level that is the park. From the parking area you can walk up to the park or be driven. Either way, there is a cost.
We walked up to the park and took in the 360 degree view. On a clear day you can see Manila. Not so clear during the month of May but still a good view from 5000 feet above sea level. The park area also includes vendors selling souvenirs. There was a group at the park with a few snakes. For a price, you could hold the snake(s) and have your photo taken. I decided to take a few shots of the brave souls who decided to have the photo taken (see photos)
